The Gallery at Harriet’s Alter Ego hosts MORE FEAR: The Final Call, a visual diary of the finest and most nadir moments of a people neglected, featuring work by Brooklyn photographers Akintola Hanif and Jamel Shabazz. The show will run from April 8 - May 4, 2007 with an opening reception on Sunday, April 8, from 3:00PM - 6:00PM.

Sponsored by the Brooklyn Arts Council and curated by Phillip Harvey of Nat Creole Magazine, the show runs from October 13, 2006 - January 14, 2007.

Akintola Hanif’s innovative short film, Freedom or Everybody Dies will be screened at the 12th Annual Black Harvest International Festival of Film and Video. Presented by the Gene Siskel Film Center, the festival is Chicago?s annual showcase for films that probe and celebrate black culture worldwide. “Freedom or Everybody Dies” will be screened as part of the shorts program “Urban Visions” on Saturday, August 12 at 6:00PM.

Opening April 9 with an appearance from the artist, The Other Side of Fear will run through May 7, 2006. Harriet’s Alter Ego is located in Brooklyn at 293 Flatbush Avenue.
